I was one of the few members who got an invitation to enjoy their food when this restaurant was opened. Very near to DT Cinemas, this restaurant has all glass walls and a nice flowing water alongside. A very good place to date and romance. The food is very tasty.

I am not going to judge this restaurant based on authenticity. I have not travelled to Pakistan or the North West Frontier province and hence am not an authority on whether the food in Coriander Leaf is actually Pakistani or what it claims. But it sure tastes AMAZING!! I have been going to Coriander Leaf for the past 4 years now and have tried most of the dishes on their menu. Their tandoori platter is very good and you can choose 3 meat or chicken starters. The raan and the gurde kapoorey are very good. WHat I like about the straters is that each one of them has a distinct taste and flavour. They may look identical but taste completely different. For the mails I almost always order the Haleem. Now I know it is supposed to be eaten on its own, but they recommend it with roomali roti here and it is BRILLIANT!! They serve it with the traditional sides of deep fried onions, ginger juliennes, chopped green chillis and wedges of lime. It is the best item on the menu. You get the standard, Chicken Makhani, Dals and some very interesting mutton dishes. I would urge you to experiment with something you haven't tried before and rest assured that it will be very good as pretty much everything here is amazing. The all glass ambience is also very impressive. It is just of the main mall road but behind one of the malls so is away form the noise and the crowds. If you go for dinner, all the office crowd has left and the place is very charming. All in all, it is great value for money and some very very very delicious food.

If you want a nice Indo-Pakistani food for dinner in a relaxed setting, this is a great place. Though i found it hard to locate the restaurant, it is located outside a large complex with enough parking space. One needs to love food like kebabs, raan, naan, roomali roti...to be able to appreciate the food here. My dipstick for non-veg restaurant : how well are the kebabs cooked - we tried "Surkh lal murgh tikka Islamabad" which was succulent, juicy, well cooked (but not over done). The kebabs were delicious. Then we tried Haleem & Rumaali roti. Haleem was great. It is such an amazing dish.. tastes very different from anything else cooked in India. I am scared of ordering rumaali roti anywhere - bad cooks will make it stretchy, uncooked at some corners, chewy ....over here, it was just perfect, the way it should be. Complimentary stuff - aam panna as welcome drink, grated ginger, burnt onions, chopped chillies, vinegar pickled onions and variety of paan & supaari!

I highly recommend this place for couples who want to spend a lovely time along with delicious food. The whole staff is courteous and well-trained. I made a reservation and Mr. Rakesh, the manager, ensured that I got the best place that was suitable for my requirements. Starting from on the house and tasty aam panna to the tasty kebab starters and main course, the food was simply finger-licking. To add to our lovely dinner, we even got an on the house cake from the restaurant. That was a very warm gesture and I would definitely visit them again in near future.

I'd been here before a few years ago and had a great meal, so when I was in Gurgaon with family, I dragged all of them here for dinner (we're all from Mumbai and it's impossible to get good dal makhni there). As expected the dal makhni was simply amazing...in fact everything that we had ordered was delicious and exceeded our expectations! My brother even went the next day to get some dal packed before his flight back to Mumbai. I'd definitely be heading there again, next time I'm in Gurgaon.

Went to this place on valentines and tried their special package for the day which included chach, sparkling wine, murgh or tomato shorba, malai tikka, fish tikka, paneer tikka, bharwa mushroom, murgh archari, nihari, paneer, two dal items, dahi bhalla and gulab jamun. To begin with, firstly I would like to thank Mr. Laxman for treating and serving us so well, taking care of each and every need, demand and things required by us. Secondly, we tried their malai tikka which was one of the best. Nihari was also very good. Being a hard core non veg I would only comment on non veg item as I tried only that apart from dahi bhalla which was also very fresh and with tamarind chutney it was delicious. Fish tikka was also good but due to heat rising on that day personally I didn't feel that good eating fish, but in winter season it is a must try item. Their murgh achari was also very good, each flavour to its perfection. I am not fond of trying achari items, but yes this one item which I can lay my hands on. Ambience was very good, friendly and helpfull staff. In short a must visit place. Again a big thank you to Mr. Laxman.

The restaurant is tucked inside the Vatika office compound between 2 small waterfalls and is built in the shape of a small boat. It is made entirely of glass with a seating in which even the floors are made up of glass through which you can see fishes swimming below your feet. It is best enjoyed during dinner after the office hours as the dim lighting and peace provides the place with a serene atmosphere. The food here is a blend of Pakistani and Awadhi cuisine, and the place serves some of the best kebabs and biryani. We often frequent the restaurant on special occasions as it is one of the best places to enjoy your special days.

just love Coriander Leaf. I do wish it had a more rustic name for everything on the menu is a meat lover's fantasy. Great Ambience, the decor is quiet, subtle yet screams fine dine. The unique placement and glass walls almost make you feel like you are in an island! The Food - OMG the Chargiu Chicken, The Mutton Rawalpindi and the Dal! Word of caution - order small, the food is extremely heavy. VFM - Pricey but affordable enough for the odd special occasion. It is Fine Dine after all. Service - Well its been a bit of a mixed bag in my experience but I guess one is usually not in a rush as long as the food laid out compensates for any other mortal errors.

Light music, water falling next to the glass walls, courteous staff, "gr8 food". Perfect place to take someone out for dinner. Amazing food. Nice Ambiance. Great hospitality. Location is a little hard to find. We ordered Peshawari Kebab(Non veg) and Kumbh da mela(Veg) as starters and Khumaani anjeer aaloo n paneer ke kofte(Veg) for Main course. There were three of us and the bill was of INR 2000/-. I would rate this place as Value for money as well.

Nearly no one would agree, but this place beats Bukhara at its game. I've eaten here a number of times, and their food is delectable. They know how to treat each piece of meat as it deserves to be. Both kebabs and main courses are succulent, flavorful and made as they should be. In case you have expats over at your office, take them here so they can taste real Indian food. If you have people from other parts of the country over, take them here to show what north indian food can truly be. Works great for business meals and just as well for a date. A must visit if you're in the Delhi area, and very close to the MG Road metro station.

I had been reading good reviews about this restaurant and had put this restaurant in number one position for the next dinner outing. So, it was the natural choice for a special occasion with close relatives and we were glad with the food, ambiance and the service. The food was excellent and was spicy like typical North Indian Food, folks who prefer rather bland or non-spicy should choose their items accordingly and request for less spicy food - but for us, typical Punjabi's, it was just right. We had ordered typical North Indian dishes, which is favorite of our family and consists of Paneer, Daal, Kofta with butter and garlic naan and all the items were superb. The ambiance of the restaurant is very good with all glass walls and partial glass floor thru which you can see fishes underneath your table. The serving staff were very helpful and friendly and had helped us in selecting the right number of dishes and naans for the size of our group, which was quite accurate in the end. A definitely must visit place for all lovers of good North Indian Food.

This is one of my favourite restaurants when it comes to north Indian food. I've been here atleast thrice this year & I am yet to be disappointed. The food is just awesome & the service staff is good too. The only thing I miss here is draught beer... that'll be icing on the cake!

We went for a diwali Lunch and got a fabulous deal on groupon for this restaurent. The food was awesome and the variety and portions were enough for a person. Amritsari naan was not great though and in sweets I ordered phirni, which was also not that great. Rest of the food was real perfect.

Coriander Leaf is a restaurant where I would go anytime without worrying about the food and service quality... We have been to this rest few times and every time our experience was good and the food quality was unmatched... Ambiance is very soothing, music is Indian but, you don't have to strain to hear the other person... If you are looking for good Indian food then you cannot go wrong at Coriander Leaf...

I been to this Coriander Leaf multiple times and since always been with my office team, either we ordered their lunch thali (which is a great option) or spoke to the restaurant management before hand and ordered our food, so that it takes less time. The first time we went, and we ordered lunch thali, it look really long time, which was difficult to manage business lunch. This was mainly because everything is freshly cooked there. However, we mentioned our feedback and then after we gave them an information of our visit before hand, so that food could be served upon our arrival faster. Now the real part - food - it's really great. you must try their mutton dishes - it's mouth watering and muttons just melt into your mouth. I hardly had such good mutton preparations in any other restaurant. I absolutely look forward to get back here and recommend anyone to try the same. But make sure to book a table on special days or on weekend.

I and my family went here for a Sunday Lunch and were welcomed bya very courteous host. The restaurant in Vatika Triangle still looks pretty modern even though its more than 5-6 years old. We were served a welcome drink aam panna which was very refreshing. Ordered quite a variety of appetisers from which their galouti kebabs and murgh kandhari tikka were outstanding though the galouti is quite spicy so be careful. The main course was a debauchery and our stomachs could not take in any more food while our taste buds still craved for more. Overall a fantastic experience and will be definitely going again. PS: their mocktails were very interesting too, kids loved it.

The best restaurant for indo pak Cuisine! We decided to dine here on 31st night to celebrate new year in a different style. We enjoyed the whole experience to the core. The place is very conveniently located near the MG road metro station and the glass finish and lights set a perfect evening for you. We began our evening by ordering a non veg platter by customizing it to only chicken varieties. Their menu is very elaborate and they have a lot of non veg options in chicken as well. We had chicken seekh and murgh malai. We also ordered galouti. All the 3 were outstanding. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the fragrance and taste were simply amazing. The murgh malai tikka is a complete melt in the mouth delicacy! For main course we ordered our all time favourites - chooza makhni and dal makhni!I must comment that their dal beats Dal bukhara hands down. One of my friends is not a great fan of dal makhni but even he admitted that this Dal was something he had not tasted anywhere so far.The chooza makhni was well cooked (and thank god not sweet unlike other North Indian restaurants who always get it wrong)! The portions were heavy and the staff was helpful enough to suggest that this would be enough for 3 pax contradictory to other restaurants who force you to buy more and more just to increase their sale. In breads we had ordered garlic naan and kabuli naan which were simply to die for. The garlic naan had an amazing aroma and taste. Kabuli naan is something that you can have without any gravy also. It is something unique that we haven't tasted in any other restaurant before. We had also ordered Amritsari kulcha with which we got a wholesome portion of curd! We ate more than our appetite but must mention that the quality of food was very good and we did not have any burning sensation or heaviness after the food.It was filling but well cooked and quick to digest. For desserts we ordered angoori rabri and kulfi which was a great combination. Angoori rabri is not a very common dessert and thanks to the innovative dishes and variety at this place, we got a chance to experience this. Our per head cost was approx Rs 1000 despite ordering drinks, starters and desserts. We even got the leftovers packed and consumed the same next day for lunch. We will definitely visit this place again!Must try this place....especially if you want to have good food!

excellent ambience (at night at least, we went in the evening) and good food. Limited vegeterian options but manageable, nice pakistani spicy touch to food.

we were a party of three folks out on a lunch treat and dined at the Vatika Triangle, MG Road outlet. 1. The place is not a very convenient one to find, although your google/bing maps will get you there. It's beautifully setup and I'm sure in the evening this place would suffice as a fine dining experience for a couple of two. 2. The staff was courteous, although not very sharp on their toes - you have to repeat yourself more than a couple of times to get what you want. 3. Upon entering the place (early lunch time and not many people around) we were attended by our waiter who helped us with our order. He was fairly knowledgeable about the dishes we asked and got us to order some of the outlet's delicacies. 4. Our order was, Burrah Kebab (starter), Murg Zafrani shorba (soup), Pardanasheen Raan (main course) with breads Burrah Kebab - very well cooked meat served along with our shorba. Pardanasheen Raan - this was what I call the crème de la crème of raan's! simply exquisite. Just the right amount of spices, the aroma, the tender meat and the presentation! The chef was very polite and was there to educate us on the preparation of the food. 5. Servings are of good portions and you wouldn't be shortchanged asking for more. All in all a good lunch and food which delighted our taste buds.

Coriander Leaf is a great place to go to if Indian cuisine is what excites you. They have a fairly elaborate menu and the kebabs and the Nahari are excellent. The service could be better but since it’s so choc bloc on weekends its difficult to say if the volume has an impact on the overall service. Think it’s the best Indian restaurant to go to when in Gurgaon. Must visit :)

Brilliant food! Have been there several times (almost once a week) and have loved it each time. The chicken malai tikka and mutton curry make my mouth water every time I even think of it. The Lal Maas is a hit with every one who has tried it. And the biryani (whether veg or non-veg) is fantastic too!!

went there for dinner with my husband yesterday. and absolutely loved it! it's a small restaurant with glass walls on 3 sides. so i felt as if i am sitting in an air-conditioned porch, which worked very well for me. the floor is of glass too, with aquarium underneath! it was like having a small adventure :) and then the waiter told us that we have come during "happy hours". so whatever drinks we order, we get 2 of them for the price of 1. so basically, it kept getting better as time passed :D we were offered a welcome drink of "aam panna", which tasted great. we ordered sweet martini, mojito, paneer tikka, dal makhani, and some indian breads. i particulaly enjoyed the martini, dal, and bajra roti. am gonna repeat these items next time i visit this place, which should be soon go there for a romantic, quiet dinner and good food. avg. cost per person will be around Rs. 1000 (for veggies)

Whether it is food or Ambience, service quality or location, it is one of the best restaurants in Gurgaon and the best among Indian restaurants. It is one of the few restaurants in the area that still maintain its class and sophistication, with no loud music. One of the few good restaurants that is not located in a mall or in an office complex, it is like cutting off from the city for a few hours. Great place

5

What worked for us: - Tasty food - Ginormous volumes (over half the biryani served as my breakfast the next day) - Lovely ambience (mostly family), with a separate bar area too! - Good service - kept refilling water, kept cleaning up the mess created by my two year old. What could've been better: - Prices. Its about 700/head even for teetotaller veggies. These days we appreciate restaurants that manage to contain our toddler letting us husband/wife have a nice meal. CL ticked that box well with relentlessly good service while giving us good food in large quantities as well. We'll visit again!

The ambience of the place is very good. The food quality is extremely good and is value for money. Its a good place in winters since the whole restaurant is done up in glass. If in gurgaon must eat here once. The quality of their non vegetarian and vegetarian is both very good.

I had heard alot of this place from my friends and family therefore i had decided to go there on the occasion of my wife's fist B'day after our marriage. As we entered the Restaurent we feel that we have choosen a perfect place for this ocassion. Then we have taken a table and start looking at the ambience and its a totally different experience. We had never seen such a fantastic restaurent. Since we are vegitarian we had ordered for Dal Makahni, a paneer dish and breads. The service is peretty good and our food was served in just 15-20 minutes however we are enjoying while waiting for the food. The food tastes excellent and after that we had also ordered for some desserts also. I fall in love with this place and since then i had been there for 5-6 times. will keep recommending to all my near & dear!!!!!

The ambience is commendable and the serene atmoshphere is an add on. The food was just imcompereble and on a bonus I relished the nawab treatment . The flavour of hyderabadi nizami seekh is still unforgetable.

I have been to this place couple of times n I really love it here. It has so many different things in 1 place . Decor is brilliant, for food they have a huge offering , lal mass is one of my favourite, the drinks list is as long , do try the cocktails in their happy hours it really supports your pocket, when the weather is right the open air with delicious food specially non -veg and drinks supported by. Truely good music is a sorted time.

Tucked away in a building right at the back side of the mg road metro station coriander is quite a hidden jewel as compared to rest in gurgaon.THe interiors are cool and welcoming, and the food.....wow!!.famed for its non-veg, i fell in love with dis place.THese guys sure know what spicy means, i totally heart this place and since i live close by, i can frequent it often.

Went with family so serene, warm and cozy atmosphere! Anyone would love it. The ambience itself takes appreciation at the first place and the food also stands remarkable . The whole food and service took us to the nawabi epoch. Just enjoyed the different and royal service . Very good service:)

Ridhi D

5

I just love the breads they have. This is the closest it gets to Peshawari/Pakistani cuisine I have eaten in a long time. The food is great, and heavy. So it's best to go with an empty stomach to relish their food, especially the mutton dishes. I happened to visit this place the first time during monsoons, and the glass walls and warm and finger-licking food only added to the experience. Being located in a place close to many offices, it is a place that attracts a lot of office crowd, and does get a little noisy. This is a place to enjoy great food, ambience, group outings with friends, but not for quiet family time.

Moments_good

5

Went with family for a dinner. Still can't forget the taste of the food. I am a spicy food lover and i just loved the food. The glass structure and live fish aquarium was adding on to the warm atmosphere. Fast Service, great service and apt. atmosphere. Everyone of us enjoyed it. Paan at the end gave the traditional Indian feeling. Great experience I had.!!

The place has a good ambience. If you go with kids they'll love it too. My 4 yr daughter said this is the best restaurant I've been to. The food is good but the pudhina paratha needed improvement. One should try out missi roti, I liked it.

I think Coriander Leaf has left an indelible impression in my mind and in the minds of my family. The decor and the food coupled with a great service makes me visit this place repeatedly. Went for dinner for 4 using groupon coupon . I am impressed with the ambience and quality of food. Small changes which can be incorporated a) Allow all mocktails on groupon b) Increase options on alcohol But will come back again. Highly recommended

4

We went for lunch at this wonderful restaurant and had ordered non-veg kabab platter, nihari and assorted Naan. It was undoubtedly the best nihari that I have had and is highly recommended. Galauti kababs were super soft and had strong flavor of cloves and cinnamon and were spicy yet delicious. The Chapli kabab were ok but chicken Kandahari kababs were superb!!! I would definitely go again if I am in gurgaon and want to try the north frontier cuisine(Indian,Pakistani and Afghanistan)

Abhisheknag

4

I got to Coriander Leaf often for work lunches and the food has always been great! The Galawati Kebabs have a special corner of my heart reserved for them. However, sometimes, I have found the service a little slow, even when the restaurant isn't operating at capacity. Also, during one visit in the peak of summer, the air conditioning wasn't working. That made the meal in the glass house, which usually provides a great ambience, very very hot.

Salil M

4

Extra marks for the ambience, the glass house look is lovely. Service was excellent. Food was good. Starters (machhi tikka, murg ke parche & chappli kebab) and the main course ( balti chicken, nihari & dal makhni) were all well made and satisfied the craving i had on that day for good indian food. The location is slightly odd, it took us some time to find it. But it was worth the effort.

4

the usp of the vatika business centre outlet is its lovely naturally lit ambience, and the good space in the fine dining set up. Food is good but would appreciate some vegetarian delights too in pakistani cuisine part.

Vikrant131081

Its has a great food with great ambience. Service is nice and food taste is very good. Patiala Shahi Fish Tikka was the stellar along with Reshami Seekh Kebab. Laal Maas was good but not very great..

4

This restaurant is like a hidden treasure, located just a 100m away from the DT city centre mall yet so quiet.... Restaurant has lovely ambience and is very refreshing place... They serve fantastic Indian and Mughlai cuisines....... Service is prompt and the welcome drink- Chaach was awesome..... People may find the price a bit on the higher side but its totally worth it....... They also serve Veg and Non-veg Thali which wont be there in the usual menu card...... Its definitely worth a try.........

YadavSandy

4

Food is pretty much good with lot of variations on menu. Quality and taste is great. But much more than average cost for two when compared to at par restaurants.

MrBrendanDotCom

4

Firstly you need to find the location. Being behind the Vatika corporate offices and DT City Center malls doesn't make it easy. Once found, you are stunned by the scenery. Fish under glass floor, nice fountains outside. Didn't feel like India to be honest. Service started out good, but over time it declined. Per the previous reviews here, i was expecting an amazing culinary experience. But to my traditional Indian in-laws, they weren't impressed. And to be honest, neither was I nor my wife. We had gone to 21-Gun Salute in Sector 29 the night before and loved the food. So after reading the reviews here i expected something even better. We were let down. Food was good, but nothing to rave about. Not even close. It was an average food experience for us. We got Dal Sultani, Shavnam Curry, Bhutte ke kebab, Chicken Tikka something and the chef recommended chicken entree', forget the name. Something Islamabad. Missi Roti and Garlic Naan. The Bhutte kebab was undercooked. The other dishes were fine, but again, nothing to rave about. The breads came out on a plate, with no paper beneath. Seemed rather strange to us. It's a good date place, and especially to be seated above the fish under the glass floor. But otherwise, it was an average experience. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but the food just wasn't up to the hype...

We went as a group of 10 and with shortage of time (we had heard stories of order taking so much time) opted for meals which included beer too! Cheers! Order didn't take much time in this case. Food was exceptionally good. Wet napkins with pinch of mint to wipe face - that's something I hadn't seen so far. It makes you feel so refreshed. Definitely worth a revisit.

We went to this restaurant for an official lunch. They have lots of variety of awesome foods. Service was very quick. Since this is very near to our office, now we plan very frequent. Foodies must give it a try, you would love it for sure.

Visited this place on a Monday Evening. Restaurant is little off main road, As we entered at 9 pm for Dinner, there was just one more couple besides us. So I was a bit skeptical. I ended up asking the manager, if we would get fresh food. The ambiance was great. The staff was very pleasant. Food was awesome. We tried only vegetarian dishes, Pretty rich food but not spicy at all. Loved the Paneer tikka, And Stuffed Koftas. Missi roti is not to be missed. Food was served with a lot of passion. We certainly had a great evening. By the time we left, 3-4 other groups too had arrived.

It is the only place in Gurgaon where we find the food closest in taste to that of south. Definitely wish it was less expensive

Visited this place thrice in a week, one in Sohna road -here service is excellent twice in Gurgaon the first time service was bad thanks to the least bothered attitude of a Mr.Viml and again on 5th Dec. the same person lost count of drinks served -bad in maths and very very disappointing instead of 8 servings he served 7 only and insisted otherway. The food Haleem,Nihari gosht,Veg.Biryani are excellent, and what are really bad are not replaced by them despite telling them and agreed by them as Galllauti,Brain Curry,Chicken and this are bad tactics in hotel industry and should be replaced immediately BUT i do not think they want you to come again.management should call 9818240070

We went to coriander leaf in 2nd week of December 2014 to celebrate our marriage anniversary. As we moved behind DT city centre mall there was big sign board with restaurant name for Parking. We parked our car and moved inside. As far as Ambiance of this restaurant is concerned, this place was different. There were not Majestic ,huge, big roof ceilings and Jumars in fact they designed this place in unique way. This kind of design I have seen or can imagine on Island or just on shore of sea. Waiters greeted us in pleasant style and took us to our reserved table. As soon as we started getting comfortable, waiter came up with warm towel and complementary AAM Panna, Towels were clean and having good fragrance and taste of AAM panna was good. Then we had a look over the menu. It was not surprise to have high prize menu after enjoying ambiance of the place. We went for starters, main course and taste was acceptable as far as veg is concerned. I was with my Brother-in-law who has love for non-veg , he was looking satisfied with taste of non-veg starter and main course. Service of staff was convincing,Background music was just awesome and water fountains just outside the glasses were looking fabulous. Although I found this place worth visiting with friends, family and loved one but still I could rate it as little over priced restaurant.

coriander leaf has fantastic indian food, they have expertise in mughlai cuisines. Its a must visit place for the foodies - at the end you will have a heavy tummy along with a heavy bill. The prices are a bit on higher side but then food is almost worth it. I tried nihari, butter chicken, pindi channa along with assorted bread and everything was great.

This is a great place in middle of city at the same time provides privacy and calm environment. A scenic experience with water body a good romantic dinner can happen. Welcome drink is very good and same is with other food.

I happen to visit Coriander Leaf (Sohna Road outlet) for dinner along with bunch of friends from office. We ordered some veg and non-veg starters which came quickly and tasted just awesome. The portions are big and one should be mindful of this while ordering starters as well as main course items. Although the restaurant is known for its non-veg Pakistani delicacies, the veg options were good. The pricing isn't steep either. Good place for occasional eating-out...

Being a Vegetarian we were a bit apprehensive about choosing Coriander Leaf (Sohna Road)for a Family Dinner, especially since it is known for the North West Frontier cuisine. We were pleasantly surprised by the wide choice offered in the Vegetarian menu. Excellent Ambience & Excellent food with the right amount of spices contributed to a memorable night out with the family. Moreover the personalized attention provided by Mr Rakesh Rana (ARM) & Mr Devinder Prasad (Captain) made our day out really special. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to have good North Indian / Pakistani Cuisine. Especially recommended during winters due to the location & ambience.

Good food. Good location near the mall road. Its got good Italian, conti stuff. I went with my business colleagues who frequent it during lunch time. Though its a bit on the expensive side, the food tastes great.

Coriander Leaf was awesome when it was at First India Place, Mall Road, Gurgaon. I remember the feeling even after years but the Sohna road one is seriously over priced for the food they serve and one afternoon there were actually flies in the restaurant .... flies are something I just cant stand ... but then other times I went (because it was in the same complex as my office) ; it was okay. They just take a lot of time serving food. So, if you know the lunch break is short , you probably wanna skip this one.

4

Coriander Leaf is a good Indian Pakistani cuisine restaurant. Most of the preparations seems authentic. Ambiance is great and a good family restaurant. I personally feel it is bit over priced. out of so many preparations, i like lunch thali and their tendori platter a lot.

Coriander Leaf is one of the best place i find for non-veg foods. some Pakistani dishes are lajawab. I had lunch several times in there sohana road restaurant and find a foody atmosphere there. The seasonal welcome drink and bread basket are excellent.

This is a wonderful place for fine dining on MG Road, not very big but low ceiling and wooden overalls give it a very cozy feel. We went for dinner on a weekday and it was average crowded. We were given aampanna as a complimentary drink and papad. For starters we ordered Makai ke kabab which tasted average. For drinks, we ordered beer, Italian Margarita and Screwdriver. The cocktails were really well made. For main course, there is a very good collection of breads to chose from. We ordered Pindi Chhole which were just the right flavor, very rich and really more than two people could have. Alongside that, we took garlic naan and roti. The naan was really great. Later, a sweet paan was also served complimentary. I liked the place for its ambiance, good service and really soothing background music. Must visit place. The only thing missing in the ambiance was that the fountains around the restaurant were not working. I have been here before as well and if working, they just add to the ambiance a lot.

Touching Ambiance and lovely picturesque with little water falls and glasshouse restaurant stands tall in front of Vatika triangle. Nice music. One can walk down from MGF Mall and MG road metro station. Suitable for large get togethers. Hospitality is excellent. Welcome come drink aam-panna is excellent.Food served is hot and tasty. But not made healthy cooking methods. For Biryani Oil is excessively used and floating in the pot. Limited choice for North vegetarians and no choice for for South Indians. Considering cost and quantities it is advisable to go with families or more than two people. For single person quantity served is excessive.

Excellent Mughlai options to choose from – each of them with their unique aromatic spices combination. Although it is centrally located in Gurgaon’s main hub and adjacent to a prominent mall, entry point for vehicles parking through the side gate can easily be missed.

Coriander Leaf is a must try for folks who love North Indian cuisine. The food is rice in taste and well prepared. I have tried most of their preparations over the years and have never been disappointed. My favourite remains Lassoni Palak ke Kofte and the Garlic Naan.

Ambiance is good... glassy walls with water flowing on it...at night, it looks amazing! They offer amazing Indian and Pakistani dishes...mouth watering! Pros: 1. Walking distance from MG road Metro station. 2. Amazing interiors 3. Quick and courteous service 4. Mouth watering food 5. Good portions and fine taste 6. Liquor served 7. Accept credit cards, no discount though. 8. Ample parking space available 9. Comfortable seating Cons: 1. Expensive, that's the only negative...

This place besides a good ambience serves a wonderful mix of Indian and Pakistani/North West Frontier Province food. A must visit for non veg lovers in an Indian palate. A little expensive but worth the splurge

Went to coriander leaf with my husband for a quiet, romantic dinner. The appetisers were ok, but the mutton barrah was a bit high on salt. I had ordered Frozen Margherita, but all I got was regular one with lots of ice! My next drink was also not great. I requested for replecement, but they offered to rectify the drink - which was ok. We ordered mutton dish and dal makhni for main course - which were both average tasting. Dessert was also ok. So nothing out of ordinary - its ok.

First things first..this place is best to be visited for dinners in winters or rainy season. The decor is lovely and it has glass walls and water fountains at the both ends of the structure. Its a perfect place for candle light romantic dinner. This place serves cuisine from all over India and across the border. All the paneer preparations are great and they have a good variety of breads, some of them sweet and filled with dry fruits. Zaitooni naan is a must try. Prices are reasonable going by the quality of the food and the setting of the place.

Visited Coriander leaf with my family for lunch. The place has great ambience with glass walls all around. Service was great, food even better. The only item we did not like overmuch was chicken malai kabab. Veg kabab platter was great, as was the phirni!

I really liked the vicinity of this place . While it is in the middle of a busy street , it feels like one is elsewhere. I and my husband had come here for dinner to celebrate a special occasion. This place is great for it as the ambiance and service is good. The food however was average but not that great

This is close to where work and I keep visiting this one. Quite pricey but the food is really rich and tasty. It has a Pakistani menu and the offering is rich and spicy. You will have to give time to this place because it takes a while for the food to come but when it arrives, its worth the wait. It has a small lift/hoist inside to carry the food up and down from basement to 1st floor. Lately they have started offering buffets also. Uber!!

This is specifically for the Sohna Road restaurant which is one of our top choices for lunch during office hours. Good food, generally slow service. Go for A-la-carte instead of combos - served faster as well as per your choice! Outdoor seating is sometimes available only for dinner and during winters, please check with the staff before planning.

The restaurant is nestled in the backlanes on MG road, just behind DT City Center Mall. It is hard to find if you dont know your way around. The restaurant has very calm and peaceful location. It is not very big so plan for reservation if you have big group. The Non-Veg food is simply awesome. You must try Gostaba (Kashmiri dish .. meatballs in white gravy) and Lal Maas (Spicy and tangy mutton from Rajasthan). I am not very fond of veg dishes in this restaurant and would recomend to stay away from them. They all taste the same (no offence to vegans). The service is slow so must plan accordingly. I have been there multiple times and was never disappointed with food. So all good except slow service (which is true with all Vatika owned restaurants ..Jing/56/etc..)

Good ambience but average food. We had heard very good reviews about this place but felt it was a bit overhyped. A big group of about 15 of us went to dine in Coriander Leaf. The service was good but food very average. We ordered a lot of food both veg and non veg . The menu has a strong North-western influence and most of the dishes quite rich. Courteous service and a comfortable, cozy atmosphere,

Tucked in a corner of happening Gurgaon, it is a good quiet restaurant with Good food and ambience. It surely can be one of the finest should they choose to keep pace with the changing time

We had a dinner for four on the 21st October. My cousin who stays here had highly rated and she took us there. I found the Idea just amazing, the ambience, construction (water flowing under your transparent floor) and all. The Staff was warm and courteous from the beginning. The food: Its mainly a Pakistan/Multan inspired food culture. I have had Multani food more than once before from a Lahori Cook in France and relished such an opportunity again, because I had longed for it since then. We ordered some drinks along with Chargha Chicken and Galouti Kebab. The first bite of both set the night on a perfect note. Both the starters tasted heavenly. I couldnot wait for the main course, which was Garlic naans along with Murgh Tikka Lababdar and Kumbh do Piyaza. Both tasted just average, which was surprising. Much disturbing was the fact that Naans were a little uncooked and one couldnot taste the Garlic. So I would give an average rating and would again visit only for starters.

The restaurant kithen is definately living in past glory. The food quality is just about o.k.Infact some dishes are awful.Nothing pakistani about it.They should gear up otherwise most customers would not like to revisit.

Recently my family decided to try out a new fine dining restaurant and we were always wondering about Coriander Leaf with its tag line of Ind-Pak food. Being vegetarians normally we avoid such restaurant but decided to check this out. The Good: - Great Ambience. - Good Service. - Interesting Menu (good Vegetarian options) - Quite tasty food The Bad: - While I did not mind the bill (for 4 of us it costed Rs. 3000/=), I found the that they levy too high a service charge on the bill, which I found a rip-off - Food is incredibly heavy/rich with fats. I expect fine dining restaurants to give tasty but food which feels light at the end and digests better. I felt heavy through the night and actually skipped breakfast next day. I am not going to put my stomach through some heavy duty food like this again. - The stewards need more training tas to what exactly are the ingredients that go in to each of the items on the menu. I found they were struggling to explain. The Ugly: - Nothing that I can think of. Overall Verdict: Great to go once in a while. I can't put my stomach through this frequently. I request the chef not to take his Ghee/Butter/Oil/Cream too seriously. He must tone it down. Today when we pay top dollar at a fine dining restaurant we also want delicate/sensitive food. If I wanted to eat "fat heavy" I will go to Chandni Chowk.

Just par expectations food and service, lovely ambiance though. Found the non - veg fare to be better than the veggie items. The service really seemed lacking when there were only 2 occupied tables in the whole eatery. Try it out if you happen to be in the vicinity and there's nothing better to check out. Or if food, service doesn't matter much over the ambience.

Went late one night when the place was about to close. I think we were the last customers. The kebab starters weren't fresh and were slightly stinky. The food was very average. I had read reviews and decided to visit the place but I was disappointed.

Dear Guest Thank you so much for visiting Coriander Leaf at Vatika Business Park, Sohna road, and allowing us the good fortune of serving you. It was our sheer pleasure that you enjoyed our culinary offerings, however, at the same instance, we have noted your feedback on the prices of the menu and respect your concern. Our Chefs take pride in conjuring the best Indo-Pakistani cuisine in the town and hence leave nothing to chance in ensuring that each speciality on the menu goes to the table with its authenticity intact. In doing so, they make sure that all ingredients are handpicked and sourced even from Pakistan, thus incurring steeper expenses than we normally would have. This, consequently, reflects on our menu. Our endeavor is to present quality product at competitive pricing and hereby assure you that we are extremely careful in arriving at the right quality-price balance. We wish you all the best for the coming season and hope you continue giving us the opportunity to serve you better. Regards Puran Miya General Manager

well i visited this restaurant after a long time and had high expectations from it....the quality has surely gone down since the last time i visited it....the weather was nice and cold....the ambience was quite nice....it was quite empty during the lunch time and we got to sit where we wanted...the staff was cordial and the service was quite fast... the aam panna that they gave in the beginning was too salty...we ordered the kharode ka soup and it was more of a lamb broth than a kharode ka soup....it had regular mutton pieces rather than trotters...it tasted nothing like a kharode ka soup...it was super spicy as well.... the main course that we ordered was quite unbalanced in terms of spices...the haleem was flavourful but a little bland....the brain masala was devoid of any spices...the nihari was also too salty and tasted more like a mutton curry...overall the food was average and not a single dish stood out... the tandoori rotis were a little soggy....we had to order the pudina paratha and the lacha paratha which were quite brilliant...one more good thing was that the chef came himself to give us suggestions but sadly the food did not live upto its expectations...the prices are reasonable... all this food came to 1200 pp...

I went there with my colleagues for lunch and made advance bookings since it was a corporate lunch. We placed the items that we would have ordered a day in advance from their package menu. I had heard a lot about this restaurant from a lot of people and decidid to go there with a lot of expectations. To start with the restaurant is located in a office complex so it's not that cosy but it's decent. I would recommend that it's best to go there after dark as then the glass walls will make it look better. The food that we ordered was decent but was nothing out of the world. You get similar if not better taste and quanlity in a lot of restaurants these days. The service staff though was courteous but was not prepared. We reached their in time but we had to wait for 10 - 15 mins between servings of starters. In one serving they would give a piece or two of chicken and then u''ll have to wait or 15 to 20 mins before u'll get it again. For some reasons I felt they were controlling the amount of food they serve which was not fair to the rate they charged. While serving desert they served a very small portion of the item and when asked if they can serve again we got the reply that it had to be prepared. In all I would say it's over hyped. It's not a place for group outings based on my experience. It could be a good place to go in groups of 2 or 4. The A.C. was not effective in the day. Their are better options.

DLF CITY CENTER MALL

Went on 10th Oct Friday for dinner. Service was friendly and the aam panna was nice. We ordered veg starters and main course. Starters were oily and the main course was below par. Aachari subzi was with loads of brown gravy with really nothing interesting in it. The garlic naan was surprisingly below par as well. I hope the next time would be better since I have heard good things about this place !

I'm a regular guest at Coriander Leaf, on an average once in six months at most and we decided to take our parents to this lovely place for a special birthday dinner for my father in law. Boy were we in for a shock. The tomato dhaniya shroba which is possibly the easiest dish to make and serve and cannot be gotten wrong was sour and tasted foul. When we complained, the dish was taken back,

Went for Family Dinner on 20 Sep 2014 Ambiance The ambiance nothing Great. the Chairs are like ones in Class rooms of a school. the Dim lights do not add anything to ambiance. Nothing very decorative of dealing with Coriander etc. Menu Great Menu with lots of variety. Majority is priced at 495. Food. Dear Mr Sayyed, the Food was terrible. Your Chefs and juniors are ONLY to ruin your reputation. We ordered Chicken Tikka Masaal , which was as good as throw away. Onions being not cooked properly, it had sweet taste.I doubt is was anyway near its name. Gustaba, was full of corn floor.I have stayed in Srinagar and Sonamarg for over 2 years, was it Gustaba I wonder. Butter Chicken for my grand son. His comments were Dadu Gola in CP is best, it is very good in Park Baluchi. This is not Butter Chicken. Mutton Biryani was neither Biryani nor Mutton. It was like "Khchidi" raw rice, No spices, nor could you eat nor throw it. Gulati Kebab were only saving grace but were without any spices.Fair amount of flour was added to make it soft and soggy. Overall if we were to rate the Food was just 2 out of 10. Service. Most of time we were looking over our shoulders to attract attention for service at our table. Even simple things like Water was not without asking. The finger Bowls were brought after we left the Table. We had to really stand to get our Bill, when there were people in Waiting. Will we Come back....... NEVER We had a bad experience in Coriander Leaf in Times of India building on MG Road. we went to wash out our bad experience but Sadly it just got compounded. You can take your call.

Remember going here when it was new. Back then arguably the best India Food in Gurgaon. ~12 years later..return to India....wanted to take my family to all my favourite places from my college days. It was a HUGE let down. The food was stale, staff was friendly, place was almost empty. It will take desperation for me to go back. All of us nibbled at the food, paid the bill and went elsewhere. EVENING RUINED!!

I ordered for Nihari to be delivered at my home after getting some great feedback from friends, however the preparation was rather very very poor, not sure what was it but there was some adhesive material used which spoiled the taste and fingers and lips were very sticky! Also, since this was home delivery and not dine in, not sure why was the 10% Service Charge deducted on and above STax, VAT and other taxes.

Haven't experienced worse service than this. No one to take order even after 20 mins of seating, after calling the waiters thrice. Finally I had to get up and go to the bar counter to place the food order. After placing the order and specifying we want the tandoori items and main course together, tandoori came in and no main course till another 20 mins. No water served till 45 mins.Asked for coke three times, finally went to the bar counter and took myself. Second round of breads didn't arrive till we asked the manager to come! The entire experience was terrible and never to go there again.

I feel cheated -BIG TIME. Today i went there and opted for their tawa and lagan promotion which has limitless starters as claimed on their ads and by the operator on phone. But the server refused to repeat it after the first serve(of just two pieces). I told him that i had confirmed over phone but it fell on deaf ears. I think these guys want to run business with such cheap tactics and claiming wrong offers. This place should be boycotted unless they follow fair means of business and become hospitable.

Every time I think about this place or talk about this place, my mouth waters. The food here is excellent.

The ambiance is great, the service is really good and the food superb!

A bit expensive but I don't mind eating here once in a while. I actually try and save some money at the end of every month only to eat here as the food is so amazing.

I love Coriander Leaf and I'm sure you'll love it too once you eat the food here.

The taste was unique and excellent. The choice of the Menu was great and would like to go back if we have more time. The ambiance was romantic, especially the fish pond...They attract my attention every now and then.
The service was also great as there was constant attention paid by the F n B's..
Thanks a ton .....Food and the decor complimented each other.

To be really honest, I really don't write a lot of reviews on the food and travel websites. But this time I'm making an exception, as this restaurant has simply blown me over with both its amazing service and sumptuous food. I’d had heard from a lot of people about the place and got rave reviews, hence I decided to give it a shot and arranged an evening for my clients and team at Coriander Leaf. Everyone was floored by the promptness of service staff. Special thanks to the restaurant manager “Pradeep Dalal” and his service team. He simply went out of the way and made quick arrangements to meet my every changing requirements. The restaurant serves wines from all the regions of the world (ranging from France and Italy to New World). Everyone in my team and even my clients loved the food and I don’t think I would ever miss a chance to visit this place again. I strongly recommend this place to everyone.

went there for dinner with my husband yesterday. and absolutely loved it! it's a small restaurant with glass walls on 3 sides. so i felt as if i am sitting in an porch, which worked very well for me. the floor is of glass too, with aquarium underneath! it was like having a small adventure :) and then the waiter told us that we have come during "happy hours". so whatever drinks we order, we get 2 of them for the price of 1. so basically, it kept getting better as time passed :D

we were offered a welcome drink of "aam panna", which tasted great. we ordered sweet martini, mojito, paneer tikka, dal makhani, and some indian breads. i particulaly enjoyed the martini, dal, and bajra roti. am gonna repeat these items next time i visit this place, which should be soon

go there for a romantic, quiet dinner and good food. avg. cost per person will be around Rs. 1000 (for veggies)

The food was amazing as expected. We ordered the Non Veg platter and thee was a bit of confusion about the number of kebabs that came with it. The management realized their mistake and gave us a free platter, free dessert, as well as a CAKE.
Extremely satisfied with the management, and they truly know how to make a customer happy!!
Well done, and I will definitely come back very soon!!!

The most authentic North Indian / Pakistani / Awadhi cuisine in town. Easily 5 star standards .. Laal maas / Butter chicken is to relish. But take my advice and just gorge on their non veg starters. They are lipsmacking and absolutely wonderful. The meat is tender and succulent and just lets the juices run a free roll in your mouth no matter whether its red or white.

Not too big a fan of their thali. Dont bother with it. But the welcome aam panna they serve is extremely refreshing especially if you are coming after a long day at work. It speaks to your throat !

The ambience is very plush and there is no usual crowd around. Do reserve a table and enjoy your palate !

If you'd like to pamper yourself and won't worry about the money then Coriander Leaf is just the right place for you. Suggested items include:

Starters: Seekh kababs, Pathar Kabab, Haryali Tikka
Main Course: Murg Makhani Chooza, Hari Mirch Chicken, Nahari
Breads: NONE OTHER THAN "KHURMI NAAN" - Its the best

Bon Apetit!!

Corriander Leaf is one of the best places to have North Indian and Pakistani food in Gurgaon. It's a beautifully done restaurant with glass walls. The setting is perfect for a fine dining experience. Best place to have a candle light dinner with your partner.
We were served complementary aam panna to begin with. The place offers some of the best Pakistani curries that you can try in Gurgaon. We tried Bhuna Gosht, Nadir Yakhni, and Chicken Biryani. Bhuna Gosht was superbly done and Nadir Yakhni was just okay. Biryani was as flavorful as it could be. Pakistani curry was a break from the regular Punjabi gravy we get everywhere.
The service is good and waiters are courteous. Service is not fast but tasty food takes time to cook. They also serve sweet paan at the end.
The place is expensive but the excellent food experience is worth it.

Rated   Coriander Leaf.. i chose this place for a family lunch on my Birthday..Just went in there after reading the reviews below...few 4 star rated and few 1 star rated even...
But Yes it is worth visiting...
The things which i loved specially were the mutton dishes..
It has a vast variety of mutton starters and mutton main course which i rarely seen in North India..as most of the good restaurant emphasize more on chicken dishes...not only that..the mutton dishes were indeed good..
We went in for the nonveg combo starter which gives us the option to chose from any lamb or chicken dishes..
we went in for sikandrai raan..which just made to perfection soft tender and with right quality....Barrah kabab and murg bannu were also tasty..
In veg also we went for tandoor combo..where all three vegies were good enough i said good enough becos after eating such super mutton starter veg does seems to be little low on taste but still chatniwala kabab and butte ke kabab were really good...digi mirch panner was okays..{ me not a big fan of paneer so :) ...}

Here goes out the 1/2 star i would say..the service..the time duration between starters and main course was about 10-12 min...that is after finishing our two combos in 4 ppl... we had to wait and sip on drinks until our main course come...but sometime its worth waiting for...so good food can some time cover up the little poor service...

Coming to main course..
Bawali handi (Name has changed from bawali handi to some other handi i dnt exactly remember ) which was just Yellow gravy was just scrumptious in its own way..loved it
Lassoni palak kofte..this one took all the main course points really...it was best kofte i ever had .. just awesome beating down the other veg option which was an above avg panner birbali pasanda...
The breads as i read in some review was to try Khurmi nan..it was just awesome thanks for the suggestion on zommato for that..
over all it is a must visit place for those who love non veg specially Red meat and also for the vegie lovers too...

Rated   Coriander Leaf is my favorite Mughlai restaurant in NCR. I have visited the place with friends and family, and everyone has very fond memories of the restaurant.

before I rave about the food, there's one rather unappreciated quality of this restaurant, which others should learn from. the waiters do not sit on your head, jumping to impress you or interrupting a conversation to clear your table. they go about doing their job, casually without causing much annoyance. and this I simply love and appreciate of this restaurant. I do admit that sometimes the waiters can get rather slow, but again, I don't mind as I go to Coriander Leaf to have a good, slow, casual time. It is not a fast food joint after all.

also, one of the most convenient aspects of the location is the hassle-free parking, and the 'silence/peaceful' away from the crowd. It is a great place to have a nice, cozy romantic evening, enjoying the glass walls, the fish under your feet, and the light music playing in the background.

now, about the food. for the past several occasions, we have stuck to almost the same order. simply because it works - succulent, mildly spiced peshawari kebabs as starter with a portion of their very garlicy butter naans. goes perfectly well with kingfisher's lager. for main course - nihari and another several servings of the garlic butter naans. i don't remember having had better nihari anywhere - simply insanely beautiful. normally, we would have little space for dessert after this great meal and conversation (you really can have one here :) ), but once i did try their shirin lab (now discontinued), which was some sweet concoction of goodness. i really don't know why they stopped serving it. i don't regret though - the mutton preps keep me going and yearning for the food at Coriander Leaf.

a must visit - pick any occasion, stick to the goodness of mutton and garlic naans, and it will not disappoint. if it does, well...

I visited this place 1st time around 5 years back, and still remember we had to actually wait for 30 mins to get space.

Today too, if u visit it without an earlier reservation, you would ed up waiting like this.

The kashmiri cuisines are too good. I suppose one of the best I have had in Delhi NCR area.

The ambiance with glass doors, and Glass floor, with an aquarium beneath is just too cutely done, I would say.....

Over all rating: 9.5/10

Overall decor: 9/10
Food: 10/10
Service: 9/10

Rated   Lip-Smacking Frontier Cuisine

My annual Coriander Leaf pilgrimage happened on the fourth day of the year itself. Landing in delhi on a chilly january night, i needed my fill of spicy & rich food and quality meat. Things that I miss in Mumbai.

Thankfully the unanimous choice was Coriander Leaf.

We reached for an early dinner (by Delhi standards), worried about not getting a place on a Sunday evening. However I was quite surprised, that the eatery had limited guests through out the evening. It seems Delhi-ites prefer to stay indoors on winter nights or they were getting over holiday hang-over at home.

As ususal we started with Non-Veg Kebab platter. Our selection was Galauti Kebab, Kandahari Kebab (Chicken) & Tangri Kebab. The one that stood out was Kandahari. Mildly spicy, the flavours just knocked you out. The others were good, however must say I have had better Galauti Kebab’s in Great Indian Kebab Factory.

For main course our choice was Mutton Nihari & Gustaba. After much debate (being such a critical life-changing decision) we left out Laal Maas from our selection (maybe for next time)

We had rice & Garlic Naan to support the main course.

What do we say about Nihari. No words can describe the flavor. In one word..Outstanding. Overheard my partner saying multiple times on the drive back (the best Nihari ever, heavenly). The mutton was soft & juicy and perfectly matched with the curry. I haven’t had the opportunity to have Nihari in many opportunities, so my reference point was limited..but I can definitely say, the after taste was awesome. The combo with rice was just perfect.

Like a connoisseur, I got my plate changed, before I went for Gustaba, to avoid the flavor getting mixed. It had a tough task to follow the Nihari, yet I strongly believe it stood it’s ground with flying colours. Maybe more so, since I have an inherent weakness for Kashmiri food. Again it matched very well with rice.

We finished off with some sweet paan (complimentary)..but don’t give it a miss. In earlier occasions I have found the paan a little too dry..but in this case it was just perfect to sign off.

By the way, I got carried away and ordered for some Kashmiri Kahwa (Tea), which had exotic ingredients but quite tasteless.

A meal thoroughly enjoyed matched by good service.

We went to this place when one of my colleague suggested to give it a try. We were jaw struck by the ambiance the moment we entered the place. Perfect if you want to relax and enjoy your evening with good buddies. They welcome you with quite a gesture. The food is yummy. The smell makes you more hungry..:P:)
The menu has lot of varieties. You will find some unique non veg dishes too. I will definitely recommend this place for an awesome experience and overall satisfaction.

Yes, it certainly deserves a complete 5 for the overall experience - Awesome food, prompt service, and soothing ambience.
Ordered Kasoori chicken and Nihari for the main course. Oh, it was finger-licking-tasty. Nihari lamb was very tender. Chicken was well cooked with just the right amount of spices.
will keep visiting this restaurant.

Rated   The best restaurant for indo pak Cuisine! We decided to dine here on 31st night to celebrate new year in a different style. We enjoyed the whole experience to the core. The place is very conveniently located near the MG road metro station and the glass finish and lights set a perfect evening for you.

We began our evening by ordering non veg platter by customizing it to only chicken varieties. Their menu is very elaborate and they have a lot of non veg options in chicken as well. We had ordered galouti, chicken seekh and murgh malai. They were outstanding. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the fragrance and taste were simply amazing. The murgh malai tikka is simply a melt in the mouth delicacy!

For main course we ordered our all time favourites - chooza makhni and dal makhni!I must comment that their dal beats Dal bukhara hands down. My friend were not great fans of dal makhni but even they admitted that this Dal was something he had not tasted anywhere so far.The chooza makhni was well cooked (and thank god not sweet unlike other North Indian restaurants who always get it wrong)!

We had also ordered Amritsari kulcha with which we got a pretty good portion of curd!

I had to organize a lunch for my Client from United Kingdom and I decided to host it at the Coriander Leaf restaurant.  We were certainly impressed with this restaurant, the service was superb and the food was simply divine.  The manager and the staff we're friendly and were very passionate about food.  In a nutshell, Great Food, Friendly & Courteous Staff and Fantastic Ambiance.

We went to Coriander Leaf as part of my search of good Laal Maas in Delhi and I must say I was not disappointed. We were warmly greeted by the manager and given a table even without prior reservation. The staff was extremely courteous and seemed genuinely delighted in waiting for us. They had the right mix of attention and restraint, always there when needed but never intruding. The food was excellent, the chicken succulent and the lamb had perfectly cooked. The drinks we ordered were also at the perfect temperature. The guys here completely know what fine dining is about. The beautiful ambiance and the wonderful touch with the aquarium below our feet added to the entire experience. A definite five star.

One suggestion - the pond seemed dirty outside the closed interior and some lighting inside the aquarium would be great.

Will be going there again for sure!

Everything here is so perfect. Try the Kharode da shorba, mutton Rawalpindi, murg yakhni and definitely Nihari. Chicken biryani is spicy and the dal makhni is just about perfect. The breads are good specially the bajre ki roti. Have been here for a couple of team lunches but I never got bored of it. End your lunch with a meetha paan here.

Hi Foodies,

The Coriander Leaf may be a hidden place behind the hustle and bustle of the metro and the mall, but it certainly scores for its food and the ambience. Another good offering from the Vatika Group.

I didn't find the restaurant good enough for its pricing on my first visit. But I have been a regular after that. And, I can certainly say that they have managed to change my opinion. The Indian food served is really delicious. I visited once when the Malabari festival was on. Got to savour awesome food then. They do come up with interesting cuisines every now and then and I make sure not to skip that.

All in all, an excellent place for a family dinner !!!

Rated   we were a party of three folks out on a lunch treat and  dined at the Vatika Triangle, MG Road outlet.1. The place is not a very convenient one to find, although your google/bing maps will get you there. It's beautifully setup and I'm sure in the evening this place would suffice as a fine dining experience for a couple of two.2. The staff was courteous, although not very sharp on their toes - you have to repeat yourself more than a couple of times to get what you want.3. Upon entering the place (early lunch time and not many people around) we were attended by our waiter who helped us with our order. He was fairly knowledgeable about the dishes we asked and got us to order some of the outlet's delicacies. 4. Our order was, Burrah Kebab (starter), Murg Zafrani shorba (soup), Pardanasheen Raan (main course) with breadsBurrah Kebab - very well cooked meat served along with our shorba. Pardanasheen Raan - this was what I call the crème de la crème of raan's! simply exquisite. Just the right amount of spices, the aroma, the tender meat and the presentation! The chef was very polite and was there to educate us on the preparation of the food.5. Servings are of good portions and you wouldn't be shortchanged asking for more. All in all a good lunch and food which delighted our taste buds.

I have visited coriander leaf quite a few times and as compared to the past the food now is great. Wonderful team at present especially with Chef Masood around with Pradip Dalal the restaurant manager. The present program of GRILL AFFAIR (unlimited kebabs + biryani) is a hit. The biryani is too good.

Rated   Now this is what I'm all about!
There is no food like Mughlai food and no place in Gurgaon that makes it like these guys do! Atleast not one I've gone to. Not even their own Sohna Road outlet.

First up, lets get the bad stuff out of the way.
The driveway up to the restaurant doesn't look like the safest place to be, there is no lighting and no security that I could see.
They used to have fishes in the tank below the restaurant, I didn't see them the last time I went there. Have they been removed for good? Or is it a winter thing?
It is a little expensive.

But my god, the FOOD, I could eat here for hours!!
The Raan is amazing, its different from how its made at Saleem's or my friend's house, but its also much much better.
Other starters you could go for are the Islamabadi murg tikka and the Peshawari Kebab.

For the main course, I'd suggest the Rawalpindi Gosht or Kasoori Methi if you favour slightly bitter gravy, and Patiala Gosht or Tava Murgh if you like the traditional tomato gravy.
I've never tried the Nihari here, but my friend said it tasted great and he's quite a fussy eater, so I'll take his word for it.

I'm not a fan of ordering desserts at restaurants in general, but I liked the Shahi Tukda.

They also have a decently stocked bar and had happy hours on wine, hard liquor and beer during my last visit. I think that ends at 8 or 8:30pm.

The staff is friendly and can help you decide what to order.

The ambience of this place is really refreshing. Infact, I was amused to see the floor aquarium where one could see fishes moving below your feet and the complete restaurant is a glass house. Coming to the cuisine, it serves the famous baluchistani dishes. It is well known in the vicinity for the unique indo-pakistani cuisine which are really good to dine for.

What kebabs! Burrah, Galouti, Peshawari looked and tasted divine. Very soothing ambience with dim lights.Efficient service, polite staff !For the main course, we ordered chicken shekhawati, a Rajasthani style cooked gravy, which also turned out to be above expectations.Over all, the experience was truly gratifying. Think it's wonderfully suited to team lunches or dinners as well as a sumptuous family outing where people are passionate foodies. You could find it a little expensive but it's worth every ounce

Coriander Leaf is no less than a heaven for foodies. Brilliant combination of nice decor, prompt & efficient service staff and lip smacking food. Their Rahra Mutton is without a doubt unbeatable with perfect blend of well cooked meat with just the right spices. & if that isn't enough the deserts on the menu too hit the right note. Keep it Going Guys. We'll be catching up often !!

It is the best dining place on Sohna Road. The awesome food makes me visit this place very often now. Malai Broccoli is the unique and awesome starter. The aam panna drink they serve at the beginning is so refreshing. However, the price is significantly higher. 8 people just had dinner with no drinks ordered and bill went in the excess of 5,500. But the staff looks high class and very well trained. Whenever I need to have great food, I just move to Coriander Leaf.

Well, i was a regular at this place some 3 yrs back but then shifted loyalties to other upcoming restaurants in the city, but thought of trying it again now with my wife. As usual the place did not dis-appointed, the non veg was great as usual. This is a slightly expensive restaurant when compared with some of the other options but the food is worth it.

Heard off the Sona road outlet, thinking of giving it a try sometime this week. Hope it excels the expectation i have frm this place. A worth recommending dinner option in the city..

Rated   It has been a while since I last visited this place, but I still remember the awesome taste of the good food here. This restaurant has been in Gurgaon since like ages now but it hasn't lost its charm because it is situated in an inviting and quite area satiating Mughlai food lovers.

Hopping onto food, The Aam Panna (served free) is to die for! It is so refreshing that I always feel like having another glass. This restaurant offers authentic North Indian delicacies so If you're up for filling your tummy with the good old shorbas, Chicken Tikkas, Galouti Kebabs and other numerous options from the mains to choose from (only if you still can hog) drive to this place to eat and relax. Although the food served can get heavy, I'm sure everyone would accept it because everything about North Indian food makes one feel glutted!! So, I would advise people to go here for lunch.

Favourite Vegetarian Dish: Degi Mirch ka Paneer Tikka, Paneer Birbali Pasanda
Favourite Non Vegetarian Dish: Pasroor Malai Tikka, Murg Tangri Sailana

A place worth a visit if you are looking for a quiet nice lunch or dinner! Must say, the ambience is worth a visit. Would suggest you book a table before you go. Although I found it a bit over priced for the kind of food they served ( not in terms of taste or quality, but the items on the menu itself)... its still worth one visit. The food was alright, nothing spectacular. Service is a little laid back and the waiting time for orders is slightly longer than usual. But I guess for non vegetarians, the worth could be worthwhile. Sweet dishes aren't bad either! If you visit the place during monsoon... the view of the raindrops from the glass setting would definately add more flavour to the food!!!

A refreshing welcome drink and a cool face towel kinda set the stage for a great evening. Feeling little under the weather, I had to skip the beer and on wife's recommendation tried Paya Shorba. No soup can compensate for the beer but it was good.

For starters, we tried the Amritsari Fried fish and it was one of the best fish that I've ever tasted. Totally recommended.

Sialkot Chicken as our main course item didn't disappoint. It's a butter overdose and the punjabi in me had a good time :)

We were too full and skipped dessert. The complementary sweet paan more than made up for it.

The ambiance is good and the glass walls give it a nice open feel. Staff is courteous. I would surely recommend others to try this place.

Awesome food. Ambiance could be much better if there was proper maintenance. Visited for the first time but planning to visit again. We tried Avadhi Chicken Biryani first. It has got an authentic flavour, not like other restaurants. The Sialkoti Chicken is little bland. But very filling. Also, since it was my b'day, the restaurant served us a very tasty cake. The quantity served is very good. Would recommend this restaurant to others.

Have been a regular visitor to Coriander Leaf and it comes to me as surprise and shock when i read what people wrote about the restaurant, not only the ambiance is good but also the food, being a foodie I have tried all restaurants that are offered by Vatika Group but this being the popular among all...

For coriander leaf i would say a thumbs up for food and pricing, if you go to a restaurant that offers 5 star service dont expect that they would be priced at a roadside restaurant, a decently priced restaurant.. Must say must visit place for food service and ambiance which serves you a total value for money....

A restaurant nicely nicely located in vatika triangle business park with nice ambience.
Has an elaborate wine list.
Used to be one of my favourite restaurant for quite sometime over the past year.
Murg tangri salina being my favourite.
I think the veg menu needs to taste better. Although i love how courteous and nice the people are here.
The pan served in the end is the cherry on the cake.
My only suggestion is to get the fish tank under the floor cleaned throughly. It has become an eye sore all this time , its a sad state for all those fishes.

Rated   Vatika Hospitality which also has given us the wonderful "Jing" is the group that owns Coriander Leaf. This place is a gem and I have been frequenting it on a regular basis for a half dozen years now. Their food is delightful as is the ambiance .... its perfect for a date or a formal business lunch or dinner. The staff is very polite and service is good but a tad slow at times which suits me just fine if its a dinner with friends but can sometimes be a bit of a bother if you look for a quick lunch on a working day. Their kebabs and starters are very good and often I end up having just the kebabs and roti's and they hit the spot. Try out the Tandoori Jhinga , Amritsari Fried Fish , Tandoori Chicken , Peshawari Kebab , Galouti Kebab and Burrah Kebab all of which are mouth-watering pair that with a Dal Makhani and the Roomali Roti and your set. However if you order the Galauti Kebab try the Sheermal Roti with that as it tastes super. If you like North Indian food do try this place. Good stuff !

Rated   The journey started with the Aam panna being served right away followed by the menu. The menu, designed in hand made paper had a wide array of exotic dishes, ranging from fish tikka, amritsari macchi, peshwari tikkas to nawabi champ and shammi kebabs at the starters. The main course had an equally impressive and exotic array which I have not seen in a very long time in most restaurants. In lamb particularly, dishes such as Nihari, rishtaa, gushtaba, haleem, banjara qorma and rajputana laal maans.

For starters, we started with a non veg platter where you could chose any three varieties of chicken or lamb. We selected peshawari kebab, mutton shaami kabab, and a chef’s recommended variant of tandoori chicken, which is marinated, boiled and then marinated gain before being grilled, giving it a much juicier and softer texture.

As the starters arrived, the aroma was intoxicating. As the entrées were served, I begun with a bite of the peshawari kebab. As the name suggests, the lamb tikkas were amazingly succulent soft and yet spicy. Being an ardent mutton lover, I always had this pre-conceived notion that mutton is usually the most abused item. I usually go by the rule, that have mutton only at trusted places. Having tasted mutton in various forms at most locations, I had safely concluded to avoid mutton at restaurant as usually it is not properly cooked, leading to it being chewy and hard. However, the peshawari tikka were awesome and simply mind blowing. The texture of the mutton was soft, and greasy, which could be easily separated layers upon layers. This was followed by the shammi kebabs which were deep fried and had a unique hint of garlic and green chillies. Again spicy and very soft, the shammi kebabs were really good. I must admit at this stage that while my experience dictates that shammi kebabs are of further different varieties, one which is similar to Tunde ke kebab at lucknow, which are the mouth melting variants, second being the Kareems shammi kebab, which is deep fried and filled up of coarsely minced mutton and the third variant being the regular shammi kebab you get at most meat shops and resteaunts, which is more of lentils used as a substitute for actual mutton.

But what really compelled me to write this blog is not just the shammi kebabs or the lamb tikkas. It is actually the main course which stole the show. In the main course, the Mutton Nihari was par excellence. Previously, I had heard some rumours about mutton nihari and had some qualms about how it cooked as well as related to the portion of the lamb which is used. Being apprehensive, yet nonetheless, I figured that it might be a good option to tryit once again, considering the out of the world experience I had with the starters.
Let me tell you that the Mutton Nihari was actually some thing which I would definitely recommend to any one reading this blog. The Nihari actually had soft and tender pieces of lamb shanks, cooked it desi ghee, in a spicy red gravy. As I took the first look on the dish as it was seved, I some how could distinctly get the aroma of clarified butter, , commonly referred to as desi ghee. The meat was very soft and tender, something that I have never had at very few places. The lamb shanks or commonly referred to as nalli in hindi, was cut to perfection, with each nalli having a thin slender piece of meat, along with little bit of fat. Along with the Nihari, we had tandoori naan, garlic naan.

Went there after 3/4 years recently & I must say was extremely impressed by the improvement! The food (especially their specialities which are marked on the menu) was great. The kashmiri food was sinfully mindblowing.

The location (tucked away offa MG road) also gives it a cosy feel - great for date nights

Rated   The word of the day is 'MUGHLAI'. Today's cravings were all about meat in Indian spices. We set our GPS on to the much recommended 'Coriander Leaf' and as Alex drove, I scanned through the menu online. I couldn't help but read out the one-line descriptions of each dish and we both were in near drool situations! Rich, Spicy and Ravishing Red pictures of the food was only adding to the rumbles in our tummies. By the time we got to our destination, we knew what we were going to eat.

Considering it was Saturday Noon, we were quite surprised to the find only one other table with guests. This got us a little nervous about our choice but we still took our seats thinking - why not give it a shot!

We were seated right next to the window with a view of a fountain pool. Joining us for company were a couple of pigeons and storks s who were busy quenching their thirst while we watched. The tiles of the pool were broken and there was shallow dirty water which gave us an immediate impression of poor maintenance for a Vipul Enterprise. We've been to a couple of other restaurants owned by the same group 56 Italia and Jing and both were beautiful at night with the dim lighting and water floating down glass walls - although after seeing Coriander Leaf during the day, I have my doubts about the general maintenance around these properties.

The interior decor was minimal - yet classy, staff was dressed to impress and very courteous. We were welcomed with some refreshing cold towels and a chilled glass of 'Aam Panna' (a raw mango drink). For a hot summer day with temperatures anywhere between 40 and 45 degrees Celsius, this was all we needed to start our meal. They also served us a basket of 'Papad' , a thin, crisp, disc shaped snack accompanied with pickled onions and Coriander - Mint chutney (paste). As planned, regardless of how hungry we were, we refrained from eating too much of the snacks as we were eagerly awaiting the main course. But from what we tasted, each of the items including the drink were very well prepared and savoured by us.

The main course we ordered included the following

- Murg Amber Biryani : Long grain rice cooked with succulent pieces of chicken flavoured with exotic spices and saffron

- Nihari : Shanks of baby lamb infused with an exclusive mix of herbs and spices, which is originally a breakfast item and a specialty in Pakistan

- Brain Curry : Mouth watering delicacy of lamb brain simmered in milk and tempered with light spices, garnished with juliennes of tomato and capsicum

*The descriptions are as given in the menu

Service was quick and the food came in piping hot. Alex and I, by now ravenous, got down to business. We started off with the Brain Curry accompanied with Rumali Roti - the Brain curry was melt in mouth and the flavours from spices were out of this world. After getting thoroughly satiated by the brain curry, we moved on.

Nihari which was recommended by the waiter, was quite disappointing The mutton pieces were literally drowned in oil/ghee which made the dish extremely heavy. Also, we had a little surprise addition in the dish 'A strand of Hair'!! This pretty much killed our apetite. Even though we have stomach's of steel, we do get cranky about these small things when we are paying top dollar for the meal.

So we complained to the staff regarding this and promptly our dish was replaced. They also made it a point to re-heat the Biryani and bring the two in together. This time 'all was good'. The Biryani was aromatic and had a plethora of very different flavours. The meats - Chicken & Mutton were tender and succulent. By the end of the meal - half aborted (rest packed), we were like stuffed chickens!

All in all we quite enjoyed the lunch and the 'left overs' dinner that followed.

Amazing decor, ambiance and the staff . I had been to be Vatika Triangle for a meeting and at 12 o' clock only felt hungry. Overlooked the restaurant and just entered.Lots of greenery around the place and the small pool brings positive vibrant to the place.I really enjoyed the scenery of birds taking bath at the small pool. The days was women's day.The staff helped us to go through their nicely created menu. But we wanted to stick with their non-veg platter.Till the time food was served they offered us really tasty "mango panna".Long list of dishes Full of plates.and then full of stomach. Couldn't finish some dishes as they were pouring the table with more bowls and plates filling with some new dishes.Price is to less comparing to the items and quantity they offer.
Strongly Recommended.
Lunch is preferred in comparison to dinner.

A friend took us to this place promising awesome food, as it was his favorite place. First of all it is beautifully made - inside and out. I like their glass house look. The food was as good as promised. We licked our fingers. Fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. I would like to go back again.

Coriander Leaf stands for authentic NWFP cuisine, delightfully differentiated from the average ‘North Indian’/’Mughali’ fare. Not too many soups, but the Murgh Zafrani and Shahjahani stand out. At the risk of compromising on the main course, go for the outstanding starters Tandoori Jhinga/Chargha Chicken Roast/Murgh Ke Parche/Kandhari Tikka/Pashtooni Kebab. My picks on the main course are Kasoori Murgh, Bhuna Ghost Rawalpindi and Kachche Gosht ki Biryani, with the Paneer Mushroom Mirch Bhujia amongst the numerous veg options. End with the sinful Shahi Tukda.
While the glasshouse layout and ambience are good, CL needs to match it with improved service

Coriander Leaf has been one of my favorite "go-to" places for those special outings when I'm looking for something class, but at the same time discreet and not over the top expensive. I accept I'm not a regular visitor because it's quite far, and I only get to visit this restaurant when I'm specially visiting the area. If you're looking for a nice, cozy place to enjoy food and talk with someone, I find CL ideal for that. The music is soft and not too loud, save for few busy occasions usually the other guests aren't much loud either. If you're dropping by to any of the malls in vicinity, then take a break at CL to unwind and enjoy some tasty Mughlai or Pakistani delights. I'm not much of a foodie and like the simple choices, so I usually go for items like shahi paneer, dal makhani, rumali roti etc from the vegetarian menu but I can tell the difference in taste that is unique to the way food is prepared here. I absolutely adore the quality and taste of food here. Maintenance of surrounding has, over the past, gone down a little which puts a damper on the mood but the inside of restaurant still remains the same as how I always remembered. Staff is cordial and well mannered, prices are not your everyday thing, but more or less reasonable compared to other restaurants in same segment. It's not a place you'd travel specially to just to eat but if you're close by, I'd definitely recommend you to visit at least once and form your own opinion.

Really nice place for North Indian and Mughlai cuisine. Their dal makhani was to die for. Chef Sanjeev really ensured we had a great experience. Starters and main course were excellent. Would have liked the Anjeer Kofta to be better than it was - else would have rated this place a 5 on 5. Ambience and Service stood out.

Having an inviting ambiance, this place serves Pakistani & Indian cuisine. The food here is good, not really exceptional though. Bhutte ke kabab and malai broccoli are well prepared. The Biryani that they serve is not up to the mark, it lacked right flavors. Laal maas and chicklen tikka are delish. The service is fine and staff is courteous ad always on their toes. I might give this place another chance.

One of the few restaurants in town which does justice to the NW frontier cuisine.. i especially like the mutton dishes - both in starters (peshawari and burrah kebabs), and in main course (nihari, gushtaba, rista, lal maas). Wonderful cooking. Good setting as well.. lots of glass allowing sunshine to seep in. With such wonderful food on offer, tough to watch your weight :D

Service was a bit slow (and i understand some of these dishes take time, but expectations on time to serve at a min could be established). And one of the items was mixed out (the dish they served instead looked equally appetising so we went ahead anyway).. :)

Rated   Beautiful ambience

The first time I walked in I was slightly overwhelmed by the ambience -located in the Vatika triangle besides a small pool and all glass walls - truly fine dining experience in an Indian restaurant .
The ambience was truly beautiful

We ordered drinks and soaked in the wonderful atmosphere.

Ordered the starters Pathar ke kabaab , galouti kabaab and bhutte kabaab
All were good the bhutte Kabab was intresting to say the least.
But the Pathar ke Kabaab stood out truly melt in the mouth delicious leaving a plethora of flavors in the mouth . Delicious!!!

I was very impressed with the starters

Proceeded to order the main course
Ordered Daal Mkhani , Rogan Josh and Mutton Rahra
The Rogan Josh and rahra were quite good the daal makhani was not so much upto the mark.

This minor gripe aside -I think the food and experience were both very good .

Have gone there a few times since i went there for the first time some years ago - lot of new places have opened up since then - and you forget about some good places in the lust to try out the new and happening places.

But if you are looking for a great place for Indian which delivers good food and ambience then Coriander Leaf is definitely a good bet in Gurgaon

I had been to this place with my office colleagues for lunch some day as we wanted to taste some authentic kashmiri/Pakistani food. We found it very difficult to locate & had to call them twice after losing the way. But that's only trouble we faced, after that it was a nice experience.
This is very nice place with simple yet sophisticated ambience. The light music on background seems like icing on cake.
As it was weekday, the place was not very much crowded & so i think we got very good prompt service.
Well! regarding food...It was awesome. We tried CHARGHA CHICKEN ROAST, DEGI MIRCH KA PANEER TIKKA, HALEEM,DAL SULTANI with GARLIC NAAN. Except HALEEM everything else was too yummy. Quantity was also more than sufficient.

So if you are looking for yummy indo-pakistani food...this is the place to go!

Food - 4/5
Service - 4/5

Ordered standard veg food - dal makhni and kadhai paneer and both were delicious. Dal Makhni was one of the best that I have had in the recent past.

Add the ambiance of the place to the food and it makes for a perfect setting for a meal.

Will definitely visit again.

I went there on a Friday evening for dinner. The place was quiet. The decor was simple and gave a South Asian feel. We were served a welcome drink which was refreshing. I had a galouti kebab for starters. It was tasty and filling. Next I ordered chicken shekhawati for main course. It was delicious with just the right amount of spices. Overall it was a good experience. It's a nice place to go, have a chat and have good food.

went here after a hectic day at office and the the entire experience was very relaxing. right from being seated at a comfortable place to refreshing wet towels to the food being served, everything was nice. staff was very polite & helpful & the food was great.
sitting over the glass flooring, with fishes floating underneath was a novel & nice experience too
though "pathar ke kebab" probably had salt added twice but the prawns were excellently prepared. biryani served in the main course was extremely well made.

really worth repeat visits.

Rated   Seldom does one enjoy a dining experience that is not only sequestered from the hustle and bustle of the hoi polloi, but is rich in flavour and service without running the risk of being pretentious or inelegant. Such is the experience one is promised from the Coriander Leaf with the exception of a few minor tweaks that in time I reckon will be ironed out. Having been there a few times, I can vouch for the quality of their service, passionate but not obsequious, their flavours, precocious but not pretentious, and their prices, magisterial yet not over reaching. The Galouti Kebabs are definitely one of the best in the precinct, and the brain curry and Lal Maas are amongst the best in the business. For veggies, the Shabnam Gosht is a must try, though one might have to wake up on the right side of the bed, as consistency constitutes one of the aforementioned tweaks I ascribed to earlier. Overall, a strong recommendation. The only shortfalls being the consistency and a paucity of a unique style or touch that they can call their own. The decor is subtle yet suave, replete with a glass floor with swimming fish, if you're into that sort of thing.

Coriander Leaf serves excellent Indo Pakistani food. Getting to the restaurant is fairy easy, its two steps from M G Road. Parking is easy too, as there is ample parking space.
Its a smallish restaurant, which works for me, as I like the cosiness the place offers.
The NV platter is a must have! Even the paneer tikka is good. I recommend the Rogan Josh too.

Great Food, Great Ambiance. The service is a little slow but its worth it as the food you get after all the wait is yummy tasted stuff that I have never had before. I had Palak ke Kofte and Birbali Paneer, the Kofte were very delicious, soft and yummy, the Paneer was fine and the Chicken was good too. A little expensive but its really good for once in a while visit or on some special occasion!. Highly Recommended.

Rated   The place to go for good occassions when you have some time and money on hand. Used to be the only high class restaurant in Gurgaon for quite some time till lot of others esp. in 5 star hotels came up. Been there many times mostly with foreign guests both for lunches and dinners.
The hot/cold towel they bring along with complimentary aam panna along with glass walls and glass floors with lighting and fishes going under your feet make it look really nice. Very good ambiance, good portions and nice flavours. Cuisine is slightly different from your usual mughlai/north Indian and nice. Service is attentive but food takes quite a bit of time to come, so if you are going for a quick corporate lunch then pls be aware it will take couple of hours before you are free. In the end they serve paan which is nice. Wish during the day time the music they play is nice and not "Brazil.....Brazil..." kind of songs which we have heard couple of times and doesn't match with the ambience. Bill per person with drinks can easily cross INR 1,000. Recommendation: Must go for special occassions (with time in hand)

The whole experience of dining at this place is FANTASTIC! Love the Food (undoubtedly); specially their Garlic Nan is out of this world. Tandoori chicken is finger licking good and so is Murgh Lababdaar & Murgh Yakhni. Also I cannot forget the taste of Dal Sultani. But I do think there is a slight scope of improvement in the veg platter, it was a bit dry!

Their ambiance & music also adds to the dining experience. Been coming here for years, but recently had one of the most memorable meal with a friend :)

First things first:
Location - 3.5/5
Ambiance - 4/5
Food - 3.5/5
Service - 3.5/5
Price - 2.5/5

Undoubtedly this place gets good points for its location and ambiance. Most of their food items are delicious too. But in this competitive market, there are other good food joints available which will serve you same (or even better) taste at much reasonable prices.

Regarding their service, i have mixed reviews. Couple of times i have experienced their fast effective services but sometimes, may be because of crowd, the services were below average. Though i cant blame staff about it but at the end, customer neither appreciate waiting long for their food nor they like food which is not as per their expectations.

Chicken kasoori was finger licking , however the lamb nihaari and daal were ordinary. Breads were substandard for Pakistani cuisine. Very heavy food on the stomach, but satisfying. Good service and ambience.

Rated   When you walk into a restaurant and you feel that taking a 30 minute shower and wearing freshly ironed clothes was justified - then Coriander Leaf is definitely one of those places.

The ambiance is fantastic - a Glass walled restaurant that is perched above a little water pool and the interiors are nicely done and dimly lit. I almost kissed myself out of the extreme romanticism that it generated.

Emotions apart - the food is primarily from the North West parts of Pakistan, Mughlai and other assortments of meat & curry combinations that rule the taste buds in north India.

The Pasroor Malai Tikka & Galouti Kebab are definetely the winners in the carnivorous starter category. Nicely marinated, cooked to perfection and spiced appropriately to leave a strong flavor blast in the mouth.

In the Shakahari section - Kurkure Khumb ( Crispy mushrooms) and Kumbh da Mela are two mushroom specialities you should not miss, along with the Malai Broccoli.

NIhari was an obvious choice for main course after a wonderful starter experience - and just like Arnab Goswami, we were right and knew the truth all along.
The Achaari Subziyon ka Korma was a bit too Achaari and overwhelmed the taste of the vegetables, can be skipped - the Paneer Birbali pasanda was excellent and is recommended

Now comes the part the restaurant supporters had been waiting for - If everything was so right, then why the 3.5.

The answer lies with the men in black.

The waiting staff - that took the whole job designation of 'waiter' too seriously and literally made us wait till we started licking the walls and eating our nails.

The Naans took time, the bill took time, the initial menu presentation took time.

I was sorta waiting for a Pankaj Udhas ghazal " Waqt theher sa gaya hai" to suddenly start blurting from a speaker behind me. Never happened :(

The financial damage for 3 people ( with drinks) was about 4000 Rupees.

A fantastic place to eat - great ambiance - great food - slightly above average price, but worth the experience. Recommended.

USEFUL TIP: Reservation seriously recommended.

Rated   I happened to visit Coriander leaf at a Kashmiri food festival recently, and yes it is a great contemporary Indian and Pakistani Restaurant in the Vatika Park in Gurgaon. And being a Kashmiri myself, I couldnt resist the urge for having food at a restaurant having a great reputation since Coriander Leaf has been awarded as best Indo-Pak Cuisine restaurant.

I liked the whole set up which has been made to provide relaxed and refreshing experience to us workoholics in the tranquil environment in Sushant Lok, away from the maddening NCR traffic. Glass walls above a little pool is the USP of the ambience and the interiors are very nicely done. I have heard their chef has painstakingly designed the menu and the recipes and the spices are specially imported from Pakistan to maintain authenticity of taste and flavor.

I would say Great great great food, fab service, good Ambience - perfect evening. We had dinner- me and my husband and we loved the place. We tried both veg and non-veg and it was amazing. Since the food festival was on, we ordered chok Charvan (khatta goat liver) and Sochal (type of kashmiri saag) and some Roti's. Oh my god, as a kashmiri, I can surely saw 99.999% authentic taste. simply loved the complete dining experience

All in all great ambiance and food. Little expensive but for great food, I dont mind the extra penny, absolutely worth the experience. Definitely recommended.

Rated   Ever had one of those days when your Hunger pangs needs something it has been craving for long time , well today was the day for me.While strolling on the streets of Gurgaon looking for a place to digg into authentic Kashmiri cuisine, me brother n I bumped into Coriander Leaf n the ambiance was Jaw dropping. Giving u a look n feel of a fine dine expensive restaurant , the place to my surprise actually served dishes at a very reasonable prices @Rs 800 for two people its an awesome place to crash. Now coming to the Food ,what all did we ordered :

1) Gushtaba

2) Kasoori Chuza

3) Kabuli Naan

Being a regular traveler to Kashmir m no stranger to the Kashmiri cuisine and that where the problem lies , the Goshtaba was a bit overcooked with Mutton dumplings not being moist or sponge enough ... the gravy ummm too thick n lacking the key ingredient Saffron. 2nd came Kastoori Chuzza....excellently cooked with perfect balance of spice and chicken pieces were tender enough to break with a gentle peel.....n boy oh boy the gravy was lipsmackingly delicious....reminded me of Butter Chicken at Baba Chicken @Ludhiana......my rating for Coriander Leaf is :

Ambiance: 9/10

Food: 7.5/10

Enjoy n Keep on Feasting :) .

Rated   Nicely tucked away this place has great ambiance and serves delicious food. Perfect for a quiet evening with great food and wine.
Serving authentic kashmiri food the place i think has carved a niche for itself as i don't think there's any place in the city that serves food as authentic.

Though the pricing is a little steep and not a place you go too often, however, if you're in the mood for some great meats and really rich and heavy food...this is the place to go.

as for the must try's...here are a few of my personal favorite's and recommendations - patthar ke kabab, tandoori nalli for starters.
Yakhni for sure is good but the haleem and the rista are plain simple amazing.
Am not much of a vegetarian but since i did happen to visit the place a couple of times with a vegetarian friend and hence had to try the nadir yakhni and guncha o keema. must say they were unique and totally worth a try.

All in all i would say if you're game for a nice heavy, rich meal...definitely this place should be on the wish list.

It;s definitely one of the best places around and the best part being you can see the kitchen and the chef's preparing your food. Loved their starters like Butte ke Kabab and Cutniwali Sheek specially with the special Coriander Pudina Chutney. The Panner Birbali Pasanda was divine and absolutely stunning. But didn't like the Yellow Dal as well as the Dal Makhani, both lacked essentials flavors.

The ambiance steals the show and the bar on the entrance makes it really beautiful. Situated inside Vatika Business Tower its an instant IT crowd puller. Best time to visit is of-course the weekends so that you can avoid the rush.

We visited Coriander Leaf last night, almost 1 year after our last visit there. And I was quite impressed that the standard of ambiance was still the same. We had a fish starter with ajwain, haleem with laccha paratha and the gosht biryani. All were good enough, although the biryani was slightly on the spicy side. But still tasty. The servers were very good and were nice enough to ask us to cancel one cocktail as it was happy hours. The restaurant still looks as lovely as ever, especially at night when you can look out through the glass walls. Definitely worth a visit for their good ambiance. The taste on the other had is not great
They will start by serving seasonal natural drink (aam panna or chacchh) and will end by a pan. Their breads are also good, but scope of improvement in the rice department. Monetarily pretty decent.

Was thrilled with the food. The Dal makahani rivals dal bhukara and the biryani was lip-smackingly good. However the naans were disappointing and when told the manager about the drinking water tasting odd, instead of looking into it, he chose to get into an argument. All he had to say was that he will get the RO serviced, but he kept disputing our observation, till my dad asked for a sample and said he will get it tested. Apparently they have an RO for the entire Vatika building and not a stand alone for the restaurant, which we found unacceptable.

5 stars for their Wah Wah Bharwa Tangdi - they are massive yet delicious

Rated   Vatika Hospitality, under whose flagship Coriander Leaf comes, knows how to pamper their customers. I received a special invite to visit any of their restaurants on my birthday and avail many of their indulgent offers. Given it was supposed to be a quaint dinner with family, which prefers North Indian cuisine, I decided to check Coriander Leaf out. It was overall a pretty engaging experience and here's how my evening at the restaurant was.

Coriander Leaf is beautifully designed, with a flair and plush that puts many rich ambiances to shame. It's entirely carved in glass walls with water (with fishes) running beneath the floor. The lighting at the restaurant comprehends well with that of a fine diner - appropriately bright and tasteful. It gives a great feel to the entire ambiance.

The reception we got at the restaurant was very niche and warm. We were escorted to the table reserved for us and were soon attended to. A complimentary aam-panna was served to us as we comfortably took our seats.

We took time in placing our orders and went with Murg Zafrani shorba, Hare Moti ka shorba and Murg Bannu for starters. We stuck to a vegetarian main course and ordered Paneer Birbali Pasanda, the chef special vegetable Subz Punchmail with Garlic Naans.

The starters took their time to be served. When we had them on our table we were able to see and taste their thorough and delectable preparation. The Murg Zafrani shorba which we wanted to be a little less spicy than the usual, was prepared such. The Hare Moti ka shorba was quite a treat itself too. Murg Bannu would be my pick for the entire meal at the place. It was tender, juicy and roasted to near perfection to deliver that gourmet chicken taste.

Starters, honestly, set the bar high for the main course which, to an extend, didn't quite live up to them. The main course was soon served along with complementary chutney and raita. The Paneer Birbali Pasanda was prepared in rich, fattening kaju gravy, which was a little sweet in taste (as we were told by the server when placing order). It was decent, only that it had a flavor of elaichi which obfuscated rest of the other tones (at least for me). The Subz Punchmail was somewhat of a disappointment to be tagged as chef special. It was dry and didn't taste all that good. The garlic naans, however, were pretty awesome to make the combined main course deal a good one.

During our 1.5 hours at Coriander Leaf, we were smartly attended to and the service never lacked a bit. The complimentary almond brownie cake ended our dinner on a high note.

All in all the restaurant, with its amazing spread, seemed to me as a wee bit inclined in favor of the non-vegetarian cuisine. Something that I would like to explore thoroughly some day. I had a good time at Coriander Leaf. Its a classy fine dining option for authentic Indian food lovers. With exception of a few items, the food is certain to leave a good taste in the mouth.

In the beginning it was a bit hard to locate the restaurant but once you find it one can remember it easily and the parking is really well maintained .. The concept of Coriander leaf is pretty amazing ... as one enters one is enraptured my the simple yet sophisticated ambiance with a lilting music playing in the background .. so one gets a feel of a restaurant located in a hotel We had a window side table and were served welcome drinks ie. Aampanna in small little cute glasses and it tasted awesome... Next we ordered two appetizers of mushroom (I just love mushrooms :) ) and Kali Mirch paneer dish ...in white sauce along with Indian breads The food was alright however the service was terribly slow .... it took a lot of time between the first and the second appetizer to arrive even though the restaurant was practically empty ! The appetizers were spicy and tangy .... I liked the tawa mushroom better than the tandoori one ...However the ingredients which were used were of a really good quality and one can actually taste the flavors individually while chewing.. The Kali Mirch paneer dish was also really subtle and nice and I loved the Khameeri Roti along with it The rates are on the higher side however the quantity is sufficient accordingly ..especially of the appetizers I loved the overall experience however am forced to give a 3.5 rating due to the sluggish attitude of the staff ..

The ambiance of this place is refreshingly good with the glass house. However they can do better with the food especially vegetarian food. The chragha chicken roast, paneer tikka and daal sultani were good but not up to the mark. This restaurant did not meet the expectations regarding the food.

Visited Coriander Leaf on a saturday afternoon with my parents. Such a beautiful property hidden away from the hustle bustle of MG Road. We were served chilled aan panna after being seated which was very refreshing. The hyderabadi biryani was perfect with a good aroma and strong flavours. My test for indian cuisine is the Dal Makhani which is an absolute favourite. The dal served was rich and literally to-die-for.. Leaves you licking your fingers and wanting more..

I have been to this place twice.. the only thing I found impressive was ambiance. food is good but they are so overprice that becomes a turnoff. You can get food with similar taste ( or slightly  better) at many other paces that too at reasonable price. ya but if this place is for corporate parties that's all together a different matter.  I have tried their veg kebab and they are good. the chicken biryani is also yummy.

They have tried to present themselves as an upscale restaurant. While the rather bland seating fails to do so, they do have some good chefs and the staff is friendly too. The bar has most of the whiskeys. Can't comment on other drinks as whiskeys were all I had.

Vatika Hospitality which also has given us the wonderful "Jing" is the group that owns Coriander Leaf.

Rated   Coriander Leaf has been one of my favourite spots from a long time but since the last year, I have been here only a few times, due to the outburst of so many new restaurants. The ambience is modern and classy, it's architecture is quite fascinating and even though it is located outside an office building, it doesn't have the business atmosphere you would expect.
I was glad to see that their service is still as good as I first went here. They serve their signature aam panna as welcome drink and the staff is always helpful to offer suggestions and unlike the new restaurants the waiters are aware of what is available in the kitchen! I have given an additional 0.5 just because of the service.

Food Review -

1. Murgh ke parche : Flattened chicken breast grilled with spices. However, the chicken was not as juicy as it should have been and it was mildly spiced for my taste.

2. Galouti Kebab : Extremely spicy! But served with ulta parantha on the base it was a good combination of soft mince meat with crispy bread.

3. Malai Broccoli : Cooked perfectly in a creamy marinade, it was greatly appreciated.

4. Haleem : Its one of their signature Peshawari dishes, slow cooked mutton with dal till it reaches a paste like stage. It's best eaten with toppings of ginger, caramelised onions, chilli and a good squeeze of lemon.

5. Mutton Biryani : Mutton was soft and pulling away from the bone easily. Rice wasn't as good as I would have liked. Overall nothing exceptional.

6. Lasooni palak ke kofte : The spinach kofte though cooked nicely had gone bitter. The gravy was nice but overall dish was disappointing.

7. Khameeri Roti : Sadly it was the worst khameeri roti I have ever had, almost burnt from the bottom and lacked the fluffiness and essence of this speciality.

8. Virgin Mojito : Fresh and Vibrant with a good balance of lemon and mint.

It is a little expensive but the portions are pretty good. However, I felt a drop in the taste and flavour, though the quality of ingredients is maintained, the authenticity of the flavours has gone missing.Overall the experience was a little disappointing.

Must Try : Malai Broccoli, Haleem.

The Coriander leaf is a beautiful restaurant, but I'm not a big fan of seeing fish swimming under my feet. On the other hand, the food at Coriander leaf is a mix wherein some tend to leave a lasting memory while others are rather average and forgettable.

We went to CL for a family lunch, the place must be a hit during winters with glass walls... We had their Peshawari kebab, Murgh Kandhahari tikka, Kurkure kumbh, Veg Geelafi kebab for starters. All starters were quite good, but the Kurkure Kumbh was delicious- do try if  you are not allergic to cashew nuts.

For main course we had Murgh Tangri Sailana, potato & paneer with figs and cheese, nadhir yakhni, and dal sultani- yellow dal with a smokey flavour. The chicken, nadhir yakhni, and the potato & paneer dish was delicious. But the dal was too smokey for our liking. It smelled like smoked bacon but tasted like dal, too much experimentation for our palettes I suppose!

My rating: 3.5/ 5.

Let me jump straight to the main point. The food tastes very good but for that kind of food the price is not very reasonable. Parking was no hassle even on a Friday evening, lovely!

The restaurant is nicely decorated and the sim lighting is soothing. The chicken was soft and succulent and the spices were well balanced and was my favourite out of everything I had. I did question the freshness a little bit.

The service is good and so is the ambience. I remember when it had just opened they had publicised it as a restaurant which served good Pakistani food. And that is what had attracted me, I have been here many times. It doesn't disappoint, it can be relied on.

Very tough for me to say no to more food especially if it is Pakistani, Kashmiri stuff. Coriander leaf does not disappoint. Pashtooni kababs, chappali kababs, Yakhani chicken and more. Can't stop. It is a very popular place and so going there with a booking is lays a good idea. The fish pond under your feet gives mixed feeling and the place reminds you to be sitting on an island - which it is...but alas not in the sea. Go for food and food only. Some of the mock tails are interesting as well.

Rated   In the beginning it was a bit hard to locate the restaurant but once you find it one can remember it easily and the parking is really well maintained ..
The concept of Coriander leaf is pretty amazing ... as one enters one is enraptured my the simple yet sophisticated ambiance with a lilting music playing in the background .. so one gets a feel of a restaurant located in a hotel
We had a window side table and were served welcome drinks ie. Aampanna in small little cute glasses and it tasted awesome... Next we ordered two appetizers of mushroom (I just love mushrooms :) ) and Kali Mirch paneer dish ...in white sauce along with Indian breads
The food was alright however the service was terribly slow .... it took a lot of time between the first and the second appetizer to arrive even though the restaurant was practically empty !
The appetizers were spicy and tangy .... I liked the tawa mushroom better than the tandoori one ...However the ingredients which were used were of a really good quality and one can actually taste the flavors individually while chewing..
The Kali Mirch paneer dish was also really subtle and nice and I loved the Khameeri Roti along with it
The rates are on the higher side however the quantity is sufficient accordingly ..especially of the appetizers
I loved the overall experience however am forced to give a 3.5 rating due to the sluggish attitude of the staff ..

“Unique Ambience but average food”

A few months ago we dined at this restaurant.

It is shaped like a coriander leaf on the outside & hence the name. The ambience is nice, the architecture unique. You find yourself actually sitting over a glass aquarium which is an experience in itself.

The food is good provided it's a non veg fare ,vegetarians could be dissapointed. The food can get greasy & v. spicy. However, the service is good.

A place worth trying at least once!

The setting of this place is really stunning ! This was one reason we went to this place on a special occasion .We were excited to try this new place which we had heard quite a bit about .

The place was lovely and the service was great . However , the food was average . In terms of the taste - It was similar to any other regular north Indian place.

We had ordered chicken and paneer curries which were ok. The place was expensive too.

Rated   Coriander Leaf like the 3.5 rating is good enough, just good enough. As I say pretty close to this restaurant I have been to this place a couple of times and my experience has been decent. Coriander Leaf had opened with a lot of Fanfare and was a sought after fine-dining destination. It has still managed to hold its own though I have had different experiences every time I have been there, so there definitely is lack of consistency in context to the overall experience.

Situated strategically on the MG road in the Vatika Triangle building, the best part of this stand alone restaurant block is its design. A dinner is highly recommended because you can see the jewel box design of the restaurant in all its lighting glory. The restaurant design is pretty innovative with frame-less toughened glass walls from floor to ceiling with a water moat all around. A great mix of contemporary and traditional design, the interiors are warm and the lighting is just right. The seating however I feel could have had some comfortable couches added to them and some parts could be made more kid friendly.

The service is quite polite and the staff tries hard to be nice. But, the effort is visible and one can make out that they are not natural. For a fine dining restaurant (and I've mentioned this in my previous reviews too) the servers and staff needs to be impeccable and almost perfect. The servers don't indulge you and the relationship is absent. A few times I have seen more than 2-3 servers serve us and look at us blankly when a mistake is committed and brought to their attention. The staff needs to know that there is a difference between snobbish and blank. My suggestion irrespective of the diner (whether they are expats or a traditional Indian family), irrespective of what they are ordering, please give them the same service.

The food is good and I suggest you try the Kharode da Soup to start with. For starters I would recommend Patthar Ke Kebab, Sikandri raan (if you can devour that) and the all time best Tandoori Chicken. Tandoori Jhinga is highly recommended for the seafood lover. The starters are quite good and automatically sets the bar high for everything to follow. Sadly, the food though better than most other Indian restaurants doesn't match up to the high bar set by the starters. The Balti Chicken and the Chooza Makhni are good if you prefer only chicken. The mutton lover (like me) is however spoilt for choice. I like the brain curry because this one of the few finer restaurants which does it. The Kashmiri Rishta is another good choice, though if you regularly eat authentic Kashmiri food, you would not find it too lip smacking. Try the Bhuna Gosht Rawalpindi is good, and though I have never been to Pakistan, I am sure it comes close. The vegetarian fare is ordinary and though I haven't tasted (besides the Dal Makhni) I hear it is nothing out of the ordinary which you would not get anywhere else. The food is extremely heavy and rich in spices and a beer is a life saver drink to wash it all down.

For a fine dining Indian/ Pakistani cuisine Coriander Leaf is a decent option. However, I only take guests to this place who are keen to try that kind of food now with the works. My suggestion if they up their service standards, this would be a top notch restaurant.
